We use Schmidtea mediterranea to understand how neoblasts acquire the correct fate and position to replace lost body structures at the wound. We are especially interested in the signals that give positional information to neoblasts during early stages of regeneration, and use genomic and proteomic approaches to identify mediators of wound response and neoblast behaviour.
